Beskydy is beautiful year-round. Summer (June-August) is ideal for hiking and cycling, winter (December-March) for winter sports. Spring and autumn months offer fewer tourists and beautiful natural scenery.
Do I need to book accommodation in advance?
We recommend booking especially in high season (summer and ski season) and on weekends. Outside peak season, it's usually possible to find accommodation without reservation.
Are hiking trails suitable for children?
Yes! Beskydy offers many easy trails suitable for families with children. We recommend nature trails around Rožnov, routes near Pustevny or cable car rides with minimal walking.
Where can I buy a hiking map?
Hiking maps are available at our information center, bookstores, gas stations and most hotels and pensions in the region. We recommend maps by SHOCart or Czech Tourist Club.
