History
Ethiopia is one of the world's oldest nations, home to ancient human origins and early civilizations like Dʿmt and Aksum. The Aksumite Empire became a major power and adopted Christianity in the 4th century. Medieval Ethiopia, led by the Solomonic dynasty, remained independent and defeated Italy at the Battle of Adwa in 1896.
