System Overview: Orbital Mechanic

This simulation focuses on Newtonian Physics in a zero-gravity environment. Unlike standard games where you stop when you release a key, this engine respects the laws of inertia.

Inertia (Newton's 1st Law)

Objects in motion stay in motion. In this game, your ship will drift forever unless you apply a counter-thrust (pressing the opposite arrow key).

Gravitational Pull

The space station has a localized gravity field. As you get closer, the pull increases, requiring precise fuel management to avoid a collision.

Docking Parameters
  • Maximum Safe Velocity: 1.5 units
  • Fuel Efficiency: Measured in RCS Thruster pulses
  • Success Criteria: Zero-relative velocity at contact point

Project Status

NOTICE: This application is developed for TRAINING PURPOSES ONLY. It is a part of a STEM educational showcase and is not intended for actual flight navigation or aerospace engineering calculations.
